Servo Expansion User Manual
AEO SERVO EXPANSION X2 is designed for FPV gyro tracking system to extend the moving range of servo on the camera mount. It changes movement characteristics of traditional RC servo to meet the movement request of camera mount. SERVO EXPANSION X2 also can be used in other RC areas, making servo move in a wide range and adjusting the movement way and position of Servo directly to control the servo precisely
Application
Able to adjust moving buffer and reduce moving impact. For example, can reduce the image shaking caused by movement of servo in the FPV video transmission system.
Able to adjust the moving range of servo to reach larger moving angle (such as 180°) or reduce the moving range. Traditionally if the servo input signal received by receiver exceeds the standard, the receiving system will disorders (such as signal lost and so on). Before this, can do the signal expansion.
Able to calibrate and trim the midpoint of servo quickly. In a FPV system, as the midpoint of servo may be different from that needed in practical use, this product can meet this need to calibrate and trim it.
Setting introduction:
Supply power and press setting button 5 seconds to enter into setting mode. LED flashing means main setting menu opened.

When you adjust the options you need a good, long press the button automatically save and exit this menu and switch to the next big menu options. When you come after all the power can be adjusted.
the LED flashes as above table shown in the main menu. Flashing once means function 1, flashing twice means function 2, and so on. Jump to the next option by pressing the button no more than 1 second and choose this one by pressing it no less than 3 seconds. Save and exit menu by pressing the button for a long enough time after setting completed, the next option in the main menu opened at the same time.
Turn off the power after all adjusted well.
Function introduction:
Flashing once: moving buffer.
Moving buffer function can balance the movement of servo to reduce the shake and smooth the movement. For example, need to increase the buffer and reduce the shake when carrying a large camera.
After entering into this option, That flashing once means no buffer and flashing ninth means the largest buffer.
Flashing twice: “A” channel servo moving rate.
Adjust the moving range of servo. Enlarge and reduce the input signal.
Flashing three times: :“B” channel servo moving rate.
Adjust the range of motion. Enlarge and reduce the input signal.
Flashing four times: calibrate servo input midpoint.
As control center will offset caused by the errors existed in the process of transmission, you can correct it through this function,
Adjust the servo to the midpoint as you think and save the button for a long enough time.
Flashing five times: Servo trimming
As the real moving center is different from standard center caused by the difference between elictronic structure and mechanical of servo, you can find the real center of servo through this function.
Adjust the servo to the position you want by transmitter, then press the button for a long enough time to save it. Servo can record the signal from transmitter and adjust the servo. Adjust the transmitter back to origin at last.
Flashing six times: the pre-setting of servo limit position (set two channels at a time).
As the extended signal is not standard signal, some mechanical disadvantages may be caused by it. For example, gear jammed and so on. Other confusion on electronic system may be also caused such as flip suddenly and out of control. To avoid these cases, please pre-set limit position.
Making servo move near to these limit position, then press the button for a long enough time to save.
Flash seven times: the pre-setting of servo limit position in opposite side (set two channels at a time)
A servo has two limit positions. For example, one side is upper right, the other side is bottom left. The function is the same as above and operation same as above.
